Bear’s Profile
Name: Bear
Age: 7 years
Breed: Mixed- Possibly Collie/Corgi Cross
Bear’s Personality:
Bear is an incredibly affectionate, gentle, and loyal dog who thrives on attention and reassurance. He went to his previous family from a challenging background, having lived in a homeless person’s car which probably accounts for anxiety he has at times and causes him to bark.
Bear is docile and cooperative when it comes to grooming and bathing. He walks beautifully on a lead with no pulling and loves traveling, especially long car rides. He’s happiest relaxing on the couch or running along the beach.
Bear can be cautious around new dogs but usually warms up and wants to befriend them. However, he would do best as the only dog in his new home. His anxiety is most pronounced when there are loud noises or when people come and go from the house, which causes him to bark and react nervously.
While Bear has lived with other dogs and young children, he would thrive in a quiet, calm home without other pets and with older, sensible teenagers. He is a clever dog who loves to learn and enjoys expanding his repertoire of tricks.
Bear would do best in a rural or semi rural environment where he can enjoy peace and quiet. A calm household with minimal visitors and older, understanding children would be ideal for him. Bear has so much love to give and would make a wonderful companion in the right home where his sensitive and loving nature can truly shine.
With the proper environment and care, Bear’s cleverness and affectionate personality will make him an exceptional and devoted companion.
