Meet Sullivan.

Sullivan is a 12 week old kitten who is looking for a very particular forever home.

𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐧.

Sullivan was found at about 5 weeks old, at the side of a really busy road, with facial injuries that were consistent with having been thrown from a car. His physical injuries have fully healed, however, he does have some behavioural issues that may have resulted from a head injury.

Sullivan is not feral or aggressive in the sense that he wants to attack you out of fear, but he has not learned basic kitten manners and how to play appropriately, so he bites and scratches because that’s how he plays. The timing of his abandonment coincides with a critical learning period in a kitten’s development, where mammy teaches them good manners and social skills.

He has no fear and no boundaries. He “bullies” other cats, even bigger, stronger ones, by getting in their space, and by playing too roughly – biting.

Sullivan has been fostered with 5 resident adult cats and none of them have been able to teach him how to cat. 🙈

However, at Ten Lives, we firmly believe in “another chance for every cat” and finding each cat the right home for them has always been our priority. Sullivan’s fosterer Rosie believes there is a perfect home for him.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬:

✅️ A very understanding, patient home

✅️ Someone willing to teach him and put in the work

✅️ Accepting that he might not improve

✅️ Indoor home with lots of stimulation (Sullivan is likely to become the neighbourhood bully if let outside. This may change if he learns to behave.)

✅️ Other cats are OK as long as they have a strong dominant personality

✅️ Sullivan has been in foster with dogs

❌️ No young children or anyone who gets upset if bitten or scratched

❌️ No shy or nervous resident cats
