Toven is a Saluki Lurcher who is almost 2 years old. He came to us from Kerry pound in November 2022. He was very underweight and weak when he first arrived but has only gone from strength to strength. He is a big, strong boy now, really stunning, and has been waiting so long to find his new family.
Toven is beautiful in every way, he is so affectionate and playful. He can still act like a puppy and has no idea of his own size so will need a home with teenagers and upwards.
Toven gets on very well with the other dogs in his foster home, he has been at his foster home so long now he has become very settled there. He can come across aloof and uninterested when he meets new people for the first time, this is not the real goofy boy his foster Dad knows well at home. We hope someone will consider this boy and give him a chance, he has so much love to give, he just needs to get to know you to get past his reserved nature.
Toven loves food, he’ll eat all around him and may even help himself to something tasty on the counter top. He is a tall boy and has a long reach. He can be strong on lead at times, but not always. He’s doing well with toilet training.
Toven sleeps through the night no problem in the company of the other dogs at his foster home, we do think he’ll like to have another dog around him in his new home.
Toven gets on fine with the small dogs that live next door to him, but could bark at a new small dog he would meet on a walk.
Toven will need a home without cats and a fully secure garden.
Toven is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated including KC, worm and flea treated.
Home visit and adoption fee apply.
