Meet Nugget, a stray found in May 2023, now looking for a new home due to allergies in his current household. Nugget is gentle and calm, responsive to commands his current home is training him in, and well-behaved during the day. Nugget is unfortunately displaying early signs of separation anxiety which have to be addressed by his new owner.

Nugget enjoys outdoor exploration and mingling with other dogs. He will require ongoing training as when he was found he did not seem to have received any which his current home is working on. Inside, he finds comfort in napping and gentle belly rubs. Though toys are new to him, he’s showing a growing interest in play.

In terms of health, Nugget manages Kidney Disease Stage 2 with a special diet. Dental care is planned for the future, and neutering will follow veterinary recommendations once he’s ready.

Nugget’s past might be a mystery, but his sweet disposition is clear. He could potentially thrive with another dog and in a home with a secure garden. We do not know how he is with children or cats so a home with either older teenagers and no cats would be best.
