There has to be a kind soul out there who would be willing to give this poor boy a chance to have a normal life filled with love and care…

We only very rarely rehome dogs, but nobody else was willing to take him and some even suggested to put him to sleep. We are also overwhelmed with work but we just can’t give up on this poor little dog! He deserves a chance.. Could you please be the person or family who will give him a few years of care and happiness?

Teddy is about 8 years old and is super friendly, playful, loves kids, adores cuddles and is good with other dogs. He will be neutered and microchipped before adoption.

He is a special needs dog. His back legs are getting weaker so he needs a daily massage to help with the stiffness. Once he gets up, he flies around and is very happy to play, run and go on short walks but his family has to be prepared that it might become increasingly more difficult for him to maintain the same mobility over the years. This problem is common for pugs and many other purebred dogs. Unfortunately the poor boy is paying the price for our unreasonable obsession with aesthetics, as we keep breeding dogs to make them look a certain way while completely dismissing health issues that come with these looks… But there are plenty of dogs out there with much worse conditions and they are being loved and well looked after, it is so sad that anyone would suggest a poor dog whose condition can be so easily managed should be put to sleep! We refuse to give up on him.
He is not in any pain, enjoys his life and can still have a few good comfortable years ahead of him. He just needs the right kind of home where he will be given the attention, love and patience he deserves.
