Toby is a pedigree Kerry Beagle. As such he is much bigger than the standard beagle, his owners had to move to an apartment and could not take him with them. He loves people but might be too big for children under 12. He barks at other dogs but not in an aggressive way , he just wants to say hello. He lived with a cat and there were no issues. He is strong on the lead but responds well to direction. He is mostly house trained and has no special dietary requirements or medical conditions.

Adoption Process:
Adopters are asked to contact us and provide a phone number.
We will call the adopter and discuss there requirements and set up .
Potential adopters are encouraged to come and meet the animal in our shelter.
If the adopters already have a dog they will be asked to bring it along and walk it with their chosen dog.
For dogs we do a home check to ensure that the property is secure and suitable for the dog being adopted.
We then allow adopters to take the animal home for a trial period , usually a week.
If all goes well we have a homing agreement and the homing fee needs to be paid.
The microchip will be transferred and the adopter talked through the process needed to register the animal in their name.
