Fintan is an 12 month old lurcher pup who was brought to the vets after a car accident. When his vet bills got too high, his owners wanted him put to sleep. Luckily, the vets contacted CAW and asked for help. He is on the mend now and ready for his new home.
Fintan is a fun loving, playful, energetic guy who loves his humans, lots of attention, and cuddles! He gets on great with other dogs and absolutely everyone he meets.
Very much still a puppy and a bit clumsy he does not always realise his size and could knock over very small children but is super loving with the toddler in his foster home.
A home where someone is home all of or most of the day would be best for Fintan, at least until he settles. Like most lurchers he does not like to be left alone, but in the right environment, he could overcome this quickly as he is still so young. Fintan has not lived with cats and would chase those he sees on walkies given half a chance so no cats.

Adoption Process:
First you need to submit a pre-adoption from that you can find on www.clareanimalwelfare.ie. If suitable a volunteer may be in touch regarding a homecheck. Only if the homecheck has been successful can we invite you to meet a dog and if that meet and greet ends to everybody’s satisfaction (especially the dog’s) do we agree an adoption and a fee is to be paid to cover some of our cost for neutering, vaccination and microchipping. The for Puppies under 9 month is 250 EUR, for adult dogs 200 EUR and for senior dogs 150 EUR.
