Benny is a cross between a Collie , Samoyed , Dalmatian and Spaniel ! Quite a lot going on . He is a loving, energetic dog that has a bit of a wanderlust, so a secure garden is a must. He does like to jump up to say hello so would not be suitable for very young children. He gets on well with other dogs but might be best suited to a dog of similar size and energy. He has not lived with cats but does not pay much attention to the cats in our centre. He is strong on the lead but is getting better. He is very intelligent and will sit and give you his Paw.

Adoption Process:
Adopters are asked to contact us and provide a phone number.
We will call the adopter and discuss there requirements and set up .
Potential adopters are encouraged to come and meet the animal in our shelter.
If the adopters already have a dog they will be asked to bring it along and walk it with their chosen dog.
For dogs we do a home check to ensure that the property is secure and suitable for the dog being adopted.
We then allow adopters to take the animal home for a trial period , usually a week.
If all goes well we have a homing agreement and the homing fee needs to be paid.
The microchip will be transferred and the adopter talked through the process needed to register the animal in their name.
